Empress Dowager had taken off for a 5 day 4 nights trip with some of my relatives and till date, i am proud to announce the rest of the members have managed to survive 3 days without her now.
Of course, with her absence, someone has to take over her crazy responsibility of daily chores.
I should think the following pie chart explains the distribution well:
My aunt has taken leave during this period to tend to my grandma who is staying with us & she has to make her way here everyday. Papa has to wake up at 6am every morning to do some pre-work chores like boil water, give grandma some breakfast etc before leaving and i will have to do laundry for myself, Papa & Smelly, plus cook dinner, plus some other miscellaneous stuff.
It didn't help that the washing machine chose to give up on me during this period, so Sophia has to wash everything by hand, machiam like those samsui women by the river.
As you can see, Smelly is not in the chart...'cause well, he's just...there. He says because i am beri free so i have to do the chores. That big bully. Sniff.
Ok la i must admit i dunch mind cooking since i get to experiment on alot of things Empress Dowager would have frowned upon when she is around. Of my 24 years of worthy living, it was my first time cooking dinner for Papa at home last night.
And no he didn't LS, in fact he was quite patronizing. He said the kailan & tomato fish not bad. Yeaaa!~
Mo was also present at dinner and he helped to fry the black-pepper chicken fillet, finished up the remains & did some dishes. I was quite pleased that nothing was left of the dinner. Heee. Oh but i cooked too little rice though ;P woops. Saw the 2 men trying to ration their intake. Hahaa.
Oh and did i mention that apart from my persistent auntie who is constantly trying to talk to me when she is here, i am enjoying the peace i am getting with the absence of the Empress, chores aside. Anyway, she really deserves a good break from the house.
Haaa.....Peace & quiet. I likkke.
