FMCU
Took a cab back after an overworked day, and kena dis Farney-Malay-Cabby-Uncle. I'm just gonna abbreviate it to FMCU for convenience's sake.
Please imagine the following scenario to be belted out by a damn drama sounding FMCU & a very monotonous Me. He was more action than an action-barbie.
The gist of our conversation went like dis:
FMCU: U noe Miss, if anybody tells me the Earth is round, i will say "U dun Beh-Deh la!!"
Me: Oh..?
FMCU: Meaning, how many people actually went up to the Moon or outer space & saw dat the Earth is REELI round??
Me: Uh huuhh....
FMCU: Over a billion over people in the world, only 3 ever reali went up to the moon see it from outside. Apollo13, Amstrong &...Aiya..maybe dey come back also kena screwed by the America's President. Maybe the President tekaned dem to tell people the Earth is round!! Who noes rightttt???
Me: -_-''' Hur. Maybe.
FMCU: Ya! I study until Primary 6 only but my mind ah...very sharp ok? I will ask alot of questions..like i don't bliv everything dat the Prophets said. Same goes for the Bible. I dun blindly embrace the religion ok..
Me: Wouldn't dat be contradicting to your religion then? (I assumed he's a Muslim)
FMCU: Ah! Dat is a very good question!! I asked my Muslim friends "How U know God's name is Allah??" Dey say "Bcoz it's written in the Q'uran!" I asked dem "Listen carefully, i asked HOW YOU noe??" Dey canot answer mi, y' noe? See all their faces start to stress..I asked my Christian friend, Steven, in the Holy Bible, God said he created heaven, hell & the solar systems in 6 days & he wento rest. O PLEASE????!?!!? How is dat possible?!?! Why didnt God also create light & speed then??
Me: Den Christians may argue God is able to create Heaven, Hell & the Solar System in 6 days bcoz he is dat omnipotent wad. Dey also can say light & speed are created bcoz God gave dem the power to do so.
FMCU: Den i will say "U must come & take the kiko wif mi?", den dey will ask "Wad is kiko??" Den dat is exactly wad i 'm saying! Wad is kiko?? (Took mi a 3 secs to realise he's trying to emphasize on the importance of questioning the given truth)
Me: Right....U must have made alot of enemies then.
FMCU: Ya...I bliv in "Wad u hear, see & touch is true" & dis saying is from where u noe? From Buddha. But religions are impt, to keep the people in order. Even tho i'm a free-thinker, i practise Islam at home, as an example to my kids, if not nxt time dey hv no religion & my son will say "Fuck u!" when i tell him to do something...hahaha..
Me: Oh? U r a free-thinker, dat makes u the same as me.
FMCU: U free-thinker also ah!??? Alamak! Waste my breath! I tot U......
Me: Hahaha.
FMCU: Rare right? To mit a Malay like me?
Me: Actually, not reli. I met quite a few who r like dat too.
FMCU: O reli??? Interesting.
Me: Yep, very interesting, tomoro i will go back to my office & tell my colleagues dat the Earth might not be round.
FMCU: Dun la...it's better to maintain peace & harmony..
Me: But U've made ur share of enemies, so now it's my turn.
FMCU: hahaha!! U ah! Koyak la!!
Me: Anyway, thanks Uncle. Bye! (Upon alighting)
