dating in singapore.........
...........is so mundane.
And the govt is constantly harping on how low our birth rates r...how to xpect romance flying when there r less than pathetic number of activities a couple can do?
Accpnied Mo to shop for his non-ah tiong jeans at JP juz now. (Yayee! Proves my whining works...buahaaha..it's reli rare he wans 2 shop.) Anyway, s much s i'm sian-ed at the idea of visiting the mall, yet again, i cant seem to come up wif any bright suggestions on my side s well. Plus the fact dat all malls here almoz hv the same retails n sell almoz similar stuff, even the food selection is pretty standardized. The concept is juz like the idea of pasar malams here; pithily, banal, so even going further to some other malls to get the same item in the hope dat u cud stop patronizing the same one for the 9174817 th time, doesnt reli make sense. Bleah..
Of coz i remain steadfast to the blief dat company reigns over the location, but i didnt say location doesnt matter a single bit?! It is nvrtheless without a doubt i stil enjoyed myslf wif him even if we r shoppg for groceries or juz walking?!
But see, even a reli quixotic date here is pretty much decided. Dinner at some fancy restaurant followed by a customary movie n perhaps a night walk on the beach (wch oni spells Pasir Ris, East Coast or the one dat previously bears the name of Pulau Hantu). At best, a typical end to the date wif a late night supper at the regular nite spots like Geylang, Lau Pa Sat, Chomp Chomp, Bt Timah or some random 24 hrs kopitiams. But then again, there r oni so many nite spots in Singapore u noe...pretty much accounts for y the open-air hawker a.k.a Da Pai Dang at Somerset was such a huge hit despite the non-impressive food variety n quality for dat matter, not to mention the high possibility of walking out smelling like the place afterwards. The novelty was the appeal.
Wot else do other Singapore couples do when dey go pa toh? Ermmm...chiong? Fly kite? Picnic? Sports? Go Sentosa suntan? Stay at home watch tv?
